Called to Second Mount Zion in 1986, Pastor Moore has demonstrated a constant, steady love for the congregation and the community, no matter what the need.  He is a man of his word who is community-minded and committed to his flock.  He knows all of his members personally.  Because he leans on the Lord for direction and strength, he is a focused and resilient leader for the people of God.  As a faithful steward of the grace of God and the word of God, he has taught the church to be mission driven in obedience to the Great Commission.  He insists that the call to spread the gospel is a foundational principle.  Pastor Moore exhorts all members of Second Mount Zion to share the gospel joyfully with the unsaved people in their everyday lives.
?By the grace and the power of God, Pastor Moore's relationship evangelism model has caused significant growth at Second Mount Zion in the past years.  In his efforts to fulfill God's purpose for his life through ministry, along with a dedicated team of deacons, trustees, and ministry leaders.  Pastor Moore is leading the church in a direction that moves members to discipleship.  Through Christian education and training, Second Mount Zion is making meaningful moves.
?Pastor Moore is leading the church to restructure for a more effective ministry.  He has developed a four-point vision that enables the church to fulfill the mission.  The vision focuses on evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and worship.  Each of the congregation's 28 ministries has a mission statement that is aligned with the vision and keeps them Christ centered.  A key component of Pastor Moore's vision for the church's growth is membership interaction and fellowship, which he strives to develop at every level.
In addition to his pastoral service, Pastor Moore is deeply devoted to his pulpit ministry.  He is a powerful and profoundly biblical preacher.  His preaching has been widely affirmed by other leaders in the Nation Baptist Convention and, as a result, he has been invited to preach in cities throughout the United States and on the continent of Africa.  For example, he has preached in Johannesburg, South Africa and in Freetown, Sierra Leone.  Pastor Moore serves the Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. as Treasurer.  Pastor Moore is a former president of both the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity and of the Baptist Minister's Conference of Philadelphia and Vicinity.  He was appointed by Governor Edward G. Rendell to serve as a board member of the Pennsylvania Minority Business Development Authority and is a member of the Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention.
